PLAYGROUP

We believe that every child is created for a purpose

We offer a playgroup program that caters to the unique needs of children from 2 years old to 3 years old.  This is the time when your children are starting to build their characters, as they blossom into their own unique little person.  We want all our playgroup children to have fun as they develop physically from walking to running and as they develop their language from babbling toddlers to chatting children.  We provide all the playgroup activities that are specifically designed for 2 to 3 year olds, to help them develop important skills that will serve as a foundation for future academic and social success. From sensory exploration to language development, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for your little ones to learn and grow.

We encourage children to express themselves through role-play and pretend play in line with our weekly themes.  We do weekly worksheets with the children to build their pencil grip and understanding of coloring in the lines and how to follow simple two step instructions.  We encourage physical development, by playing with balls that they can kick and bean bags to throw around.  We encourage language development by using flash cards and a variety of books and story telling with puppets and props.  We explore colors, sounds and shapes.  The children get to play with a variety of sensory activities such as playdough, mud, water, sand and rice.  We enjoy music time on a daily basis where the children learn to dance and sing with different actions, encouraging language development as well as memory development.    We continue to work on puzzles and matching games. We enjoy playing group games and learning to share and interact with our friends in a kind, respectful way.

The children are fed according to our school menu and eat the snacks provided by our school.

We will continue to potty train if needed.  We have sleeping mats that we use for the children

to sleep on.  The children will be drinking from a cup and will be given water throughout

the day and juice at lunch time and snack time.
